Opening

Well, It's been a while since I posted a new entry. To be honest, I can't remember what has happened in the few months that I have been frequenting here less than usual. I guess it mainly comes down to these few things:

• Work
• University
• Lack of Inspiration

So then, a quick update on what's been going on...

Work

We're very busy at the moment. Which I suppose you could call a blessing due to the current economic climate. I have to say i'm very lucky to be able to sit here knowing i'm in a stable job and one that I enjoy. The trouble is just that it takes up so much time that at the moment life is just impossible! I've got so much work to fit in that I haven't really got time to fit anything else in which means other things seem to suffer greatly.

My social life is getting to that of non-existant, I'm just too busy for it at the moment. Thank god i'm single ha! The other thing that seriously suffers is sleep! I've never been one to get much anyway, except now i'm finding myself increasingly tired and worn out...I just don't have the energy to do anything. Thankfully due to lack of sleep I am managing to keep on top of all of the University work...just!

University

I guess this is one of those things that you either love or hate. And at the moment...well, i'd have to say it is hate for me! It just seems so pointless.

I mean, the course has been screwed up so badly that part of the qualification we were learning is now out of date...and we haven't even completed it yet! So this has now led me on to attending an extra evening class ('cos I have time for that!) in order to pick up the more up to date version of what we are being taught in lectures! How frustrating is that!

The work is building up as well. It's not hard by any means...But I think this is part of the problem. Maybe it would be less of a chore if it actually engaged you. The problem is that it is just long. Very, very long. So I sit there for hours, churning out mindless assignments whilst my mind is very much somewhere else...not good!

To top the whole thing off when they came to discuss next years options with us it seems that they have missed off virtually half of the options avaliable to use...Not acceptable in the slightest really!

*Rant Over*

Lack of Inspiration

I have to say this is seriously starting to get to me now. I don't know what is causing it, Mostly I imagine down to tiredness but I just can't get in the creative mood. When I was younger I used to be able to turn out Brochures, Programmes and Photographs like it was anyone's business. Now I have trouble making one of either. I have started, previewed and then erased all of my most recent efforts and I don't know what is wrong!

...I fear I may be on the verge of a serious break down!

In case you hadn't noticed I'm sporting a new look for this year. Again, due to lack of inspiration this is not my work but I like the look of it so i'm pleased all the same If any one else is interested in this layout then you can find it here [link]

All the Rest

Well, as far as everything else is concerned it's business as usual really.

I'm now using Windows 7 as my main OS for both my work (IBM Thinkpad) and my home (Apple MacBook) laptops and Windows Server 2008 as my main PC OS. Have to say both of these changes are VAST improvements on my previous setup. It's funny, I work for an I.T Consultancy yet I rarely have the time to sort out my own I.T structure!

I'm in a bit of a quandry over 'Starjet' as well. For those of you who aren't aware 'Starjet' is my car. Bit of an odd name I know but it was on a badge attatched to the front grille and so it stuck. Anyway, It is looking like our time together is coming to an end. Trouble is, the more I drive her, and lately that has been some seriously long distances. The more I do not wish to sell her. OK she's not the fastest car around but the way she drives over long distances regardless of the road or the surface is just EPIC! I've noticed a big difference since the Eibach's went on. The roll is almost non existant and the feel of being planted to the road leaves me feeling very secure when travelling at high speed. Although this could also be due to the Bridgestone shoes she wares, at much expense to the owner!
